Reaching 500 homes built in the Hutt Valley is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. But to us, it’s more than a number – it’s a signal of what’s possible for the future of housing in our region. Whether first-home buyer, young families, or those wanting to downsize into something modern and easy to look after, delivering 500 homes has given us a front-row seat to see how needs are shifting.

For a long time, choice in the Hutt housing market was limited: older homes, often needing big renovations, on large sections that require plenty of upkeep, or managing your own build, costly, stressful. By building townhouses, we’ve been able to offer something different – homes that are warm, efficient, and move-in ready, with a smaller footprint that makes sense for busy lives. Lots of the benefits you get with a new build but at a more manageable price point. The next 500 homes will continue to build on that. More variety in layouts, more flexibility in design, and more ways to get into the market without stretching beyond reach.

A focus on affordability

One of the biggest challenges in housing today is affordability. Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to keep delivering homes at a fixed price point – so buyers know exactly what they’re stepping into, with no surprises along the way.

As we look ahead, affordability will stay front of mind. It doesn’t mean cutting corners – it means being smarter with design, materials, and site selection so that quality remains high while price points stay within reach of first-home buyers and everyday families.

Smarter, more sustainable homes

500 homes has also given us the chance to keep improving. With each project, we’ve refined how we do things – from smarter storage solutions and better use of space, to more evolving building practices and energy-efficient designs. Within our staff team we call this the 'Green Line'. If you were to draw a graph on an axis heading in an upward trajectory – that's us. From site to site, no matter the road-bumps or hiccups along the way, our team has a commitment to stay on the green line, continuously getting better from project to project.

Looking ahead, we want to keep raising our 'Green Line' – the benchmark we set for ourselves on every project. Whether it’s exploring new construction methods, more sustainable materials, or designs that better fit the way people actually live, the goal is the same: homes that make life easier, healthier, and more enjoyable.

Building communities, not just houses

The future of housing in the Hutt Valley isn’t just about what happens inside the four walls of a home. It’s also about the communities those homes sit within. For us, that means choosing sites close to schools, parks, transport, and shops – places where people can put down roots and feel connected.

It also means giving back. We've supported local schools and kindergartens along the way, because thriving communities matter just as much as thriving developments.

The road ahead

500 homes is a milestone, but it’s also a stepping stone. As the Hutt continues to grow, we’ll keep doing what we set out to do from the very beginning: create quality homes that are within reach, and that add to the fabric of our community.

For us, the next 500 homes aren’t just about scale – they’re about building smarter, better, and more connected housing for the Hutt Valley’s future.
