Here’s Home: 500 and Counting in the Hutt

This week marks a huge milestone for Faisandier – we've now built over 500 homes across the Hutt Valley. That’s 500 families, couples, and individuals who now have a place to call home. And to be honest, that feels pretty special.

When we started this journey, it wasn’t about chasing numbers. It was about doing things differently – putting people first, creating real value, and guiding everyday Kiwis into home ownership with honesty and heart. The fact that we’ve now helped over 500 households take that step? That’s humbling.

This moment is deeply personal for me. I left school early and started out as a building apprentice, learning the ropes from the ground up. I made mistakes, learnt some hard lessons, and kept showing up. Eventually, I took the leap and started this company with my old man, Paddy. We were just two locals with a shovel, a plan, and a whole lot of grit. I never imagined that one day we’d contribute 500 new, safe homes to the place I’ve always called home – the Hutt. It’s where I was born, where I’m raising my family, and where I’m committed to.

To our first home buyers: You’re the heart of this milestone. We know how hard it is to crack into the property market. That’s why we’ve worked hard to make the process simpler, more transparent, and more supportive — with no surprises. Seeing your excitement on handover day never gets old.

To our team, contractors, and suppliers: You’ve had our backs from day one. Through the concrete pours, early mornings, tricky builds, and tight turnarounds – you’ve delivered. You’re the reason we can say, hand on heart, that we stick the landing. Thank you for standing with us. We wouldn’t be here without you.

This milestone isn’t the finish line – it’s fuel. The housing landscape in New Zealand still needs change, and we’re here for the long haul. We’ll keep learning, building, and partnering with people who share our vision for better, smarter, more accessible homes.
