8 Rongonui Street is finished – eight two- and three-bedroom homes in Elderslea, Upper Hutt, ready for their new owners.

Eight homes across three small blocks – six two-bedroom and two three-bedroom – each with a designated carpark and dual street access into the site. It's a boutique development in a quiet, well-connected pocket of Upper Hutt, positioned for sun and for getting places without much effort.

Built for the everyday

Every floorplan makes smart use of its square metres while still feeling open and welcoming. Windows and sliding doors are placed to draw light through the day, so the interiors stay bright and open straight out to a private patio or deck – the spot for a morning coffee, or dinner outside once the evenings stretch out. Warm in winter, cool in summer and quiet year-round, which is the part of townhouse living most people don't expect. On the outside, a mix of shiplap timber, corrugated metal and a Resene Rockcote finish gives the street a varied, textured look rather than eight identical facades in a row.

Living in Elderslea

Upper Hutt doesn't get talked about enough. Framed by hills and river trails, it's a relaxed place to live with the convenience of a growing city behind it – weekend walks, local cafes and an easy commute all in the same postcode. From Rongonui Street it's a short walk to the CBD and Upper Hutt Train Station, so you're on a direct line into Wellington. Maidstone Park is close by, along with Brewtown and the H2O Xtream Aquatic Centre. It's zoned for Upper Hutt School, Fergusson Intermediate and Heretaunga College. And it gets more sunshine hours than Wellington City does – which matters more than people expect once you've sat through a few Wellington winters.

Thank you

This was a steady build from February 2025 through to completion, and it took a lot of people to get here. Thanks to the trades, suppliers and consultants who worked on it – the ones who turned up in the weather, sorted the details that never make it onto a drawing, and kept things moving behind the scenes. To the buyers who signed up early – welcome home!
